Chamber Welcome

I am excited and honored to introduce the 2018 Des Plaines Community Guide & Chamber Directory.

Since 1934, the Des Plaines Chamber Of Commerce has been committed to serving our local community in various ways. This guide is just one of the many ways that we connect our businesses and residents. But it’s more than that. It is a true labor of love – a reflection of the vibrant spirit and diverse culture of our beloved community.

My wife, Staci, and I moved to Des Plaines in 2006. We didn’t know what to expect. But with unmatched local support (and a little sweat), my business has been located here ever since.

As you will see from this year’s guide, our goal is to serve our community and customers with the highest level of integrity, hard work, and professionalism. We have companies of all shapes and sizes and host new visitors and lifelong residents. This diversity is what helps our community thrive – as our commitment extends to all businesses, residents and customers alike.

I am proud to be a part of the Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce, and the progress that has distinguished our city. The future for our residents and businesses remains bright, and I look forward to sharing the journey with neighbors like you.

Will Brown

Financial Advisor, Edward Jones

2018 Chamber Board PresidentWelcome to the Des Plaines Chamber’s 2018 Community Guide & Chamber Directory! Provided within these pages is a snapshot of the people, places, and character of Des Plaines, the community we are proud to support and call home. I am excited to continue to serve as the Chamber’s executive director, and look forward to another outstanding year of service and collaboration with the community.

As you read this directory, you will learn that many businesses and individuals have consciously invested their time and financial resources to promote the economic growth and sustainability of our community. We hope you enjoy their stories.

The Chamber’s job is to provide our members the programs, services, support, networking opportunities and forward thinking that ensures a return on these generous investments. We will accomplish this by committing ourselves to an exciting year of turning possibilities into tangible progress. We welcome you and your business to join us on the journey.

There are many reasons why over 2,700 businesses call Des Plaines home. From quaint mom-and-pop shops to multibillion-dollar corporations, the city is the preferred location for a variety of business ventures. City leaders and representatives work as a team to do everything in their power to advance the local business environment through streamlined processes, friendly staff and a network of partnering organizations.

The city enjoys a convenient location, with a bustling downtown and commercial corridors, a strong industrial and manufacturing presence, extensive transportation networks, and easy access to O’Hare International Airport and the world. Des Plaines also boasts two Metra train stations that are only a 30-minute train ride away from downtown Chicago.

On the service end, think of the city’s economic development staff as your business concierge, ready to connect you and your business goals to unique incentives and support services, making it easier for new and existing businesses to thrive. Some of these programs include:

$100,000 Restaurant Build-Out Incentive
