Boynton Beach, geographically located in the middle of Palm Beach County, is a coastal community that runs parallel to a four-mile stretch of the Intracoastal Waterway. Known as “America’s Gateway to the Gulf Stream,” Boynton Beach is a full-service municipality, providing virtually every city service and quality-of-life opportunities for its residents and visitors. The City of Boynton Beach invests a great deal of resources to ensure that residents and visitors have access to its 253 acres of municipal parks, beach and natural conservation lands. These facilities offer over 200 recreational programs, classes and events for all ages – from toddlers to seniors.
Supplementing its recreational indoor facilities are tennis and basketball courts, playgrounds, fitness centers and a pool. In addition, the city owns and manages a state-of-the-art municipal library and operates a municipal golf course, which features both an 18-hole championship course and 9-hole family course.
Boynton Beach, being closer to the Gulf Stream than any other community along the Atlantic coast, boasts one of only two working full-service marinas in Palm Beach County. Owned and operated by the CRA, the Boynton Harbor Marina offers fishing and scuba diving charters, Jet Ski and boat rentals and an eclectic collection of waterfront restaurants.
