Workforce Development

Workforce Development
  • Preparing our youth for a career in a construction trade.
  • Up-skilling current employees through further training.
  • Supplying the construction industry with skilled workers.

Although many young people choose a career that often requires a college degree, it isn’t always the case for everyone. As the construction industry faces a shortage in skilled labor, attracting young people may be the best way to encourage a career in the trades. More and more construction companies are becoming involved with Workforce Development programs and so is CCBE!

We are working with local school districts to create a larger pool of future applicants for the construction industry by supporting Career Technical Education (CTE) programs and encouraging our members to host interns and job shadow days. In addition, The Builders Education Foundation of CCBE provides scholarships to our members, member’s employees and family members who are interested in pursuing a career in the construction industry. This year we added a scholarship for a CTE student as well.

If your company would like to participate in CCBE’s Workforce Development, please contact Sandy at (559) 237-1831.
