Deerfield Park District exists to serve the recreational, leisure and enrichment needs of its residents. Spaces and programs are continuously evaluated to meet the growing and changing needs of the community. The park district board and staff invite you to take classes, choose from a variety of summer camps, reserve a party space and attend events. Enjoy our recreation facilities, pools, golf course, playgrounds and parks.

Jewett Park Community Center houses an indoor treehouse, developmental preschool, dance and ceramics studios, multipurpose programming rooms, registration desk and administrative offices. By signing up for the district’s preschool program, parents can be confident that their child will learn to play and play to learn. The well-rounded curriculum includes opportunities in math, science and nature, literacy, language and listening, dramatic play and daily outdoor play.

Sachs Recreation Center boasts nearly 100,000 square feet of recreational space. An abundance of facility amenities include a Pilates reformer studio, mind and body yoga studio, indoor running track, lap pool and fitness swimming pool with whirlpool, three gymnasiums, indoor tennis courts, racquetball court, fitness training studios, exercise equipment, suspension training studio and many options for rentals and parties of all shapes and sizes.

Enter the Patty Turner Center and you are charmed by the beauty of the facility and the friendly members and staff. An enrichment program of the Deerfield Park District in partnership with the Village of Deerfield, the center provides a variety of classes, events and excursions throughout the week, on evenings and weekends for active adults 50 years and older. Rentals are available for large or intimate gatherings.

Expert and beginner golfers enjoy the 155 acre Deerfield Golf Club and Learning Center offering first class golf, practice, teaching, banquet availability and FORE Restaurant and Bar. In 2018, guests will enjoy the bunker renovations on holes 2, 9 and 10.

In 2016, after 50 years, Mitchell Pool was renovated and features a leisure pool that includes a zero-depth ADA entrance, teaching area, lap swim lanes and above-pool water features and sprays. The new stand-alone diving well includes easy enter/exit steps, diving boards at one and three meter heights and a drop slide. The wading pool includes zero-depth entry to 2-foot depth and a climbing feature/slide with spray/splash pad. At the second outdoor pool location, Deerspring Pool, enjoy an Olympic sized pool that includes a diving well and drop slide. Features also include a water slide, zero depth wading pool and sprayground with slides, geysers, water cannons and more.

Deerfield Park District encompasses 206 acres of parks that include playgrounds, shelters, athletic fields, open space, natural areas and more. Twenty parks provide an abundance of amenities. Outdoor areas include a nature area, walking and jogging paths and shelters. Twenty-one playgrounds are available for younger residents and families. For sports enthusiasts, there are baseball diamonds, courts and fields, pools, sprayground, skate-park, disc golf course, outdoor exercise course and ice skating rinks.
