The CTA’s elevated rail line connecting Oak Park, the West Side, downtown and the South Side. Train runs every six to eight minutes in weekday rush hours, every 10 minutes at most other times and every 30 to 60 minutes during Night Owl (overnight) periods.
The Green Line connects with over 70 CTA and Pace bus routes. Call to obtain a brochure for bus routes and information.

SENIOR DIAL-A-RIDE PROGRAM
The Village of Elmwood Park offers free rides through its Dial-a-Ride program. Rides are available to Elmwood Park residents only, senior citizens (65 years old and older) and residents with disabilities or special needs.
Hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday and 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday. There is no service on Sundays. Service area boundaries are from Irving Park Road to Lake Street and from Narragansett Avenue to 15th Avenue.
Dial-a-Ride stops include Elmwood Park restaurants, markets, banks and the Metra station; Gottlieb Hospital; Harlem and Irving Plaza; Brick Yard Mall; Thatcher Woods Mall; Winston Plaza Shops and downtown Oak Park. Service is by appointment only and is subject to availability; arrangements can be made up to two weeks in advance. Residents are limited to two rides per week when the bus is available. Same-day service is not typically available. Cancellations must be made within 24 hours.
