Powhatan’s Festival of the Grape: On the third Saturday in October, the Courthouse Square is open to 25 wineries, more than 100 arts and craft vendors, amazing food and some of the best music and folks you will find anywhere in the country. This event is the primary fundraiser for the Chamber and we invite everyone to our picturesque and friendly county for wine tasting or historical tours. Powhatan 4th Fridays: This popular event began in 2009 and runs once a month from April through September. Powhatan 4th Fridays provides a community event that enhances the quality of life, builds on a strong sense of community, spotlights Powhatan businesses and increases the overall tax base, while contributing to charitable organizations. Chamber Luncheons/Meetings: On the third Thursday of every month at the County Seat Restaurant, please join us from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm for networking, lunch and an educational speaker. For more information, please visit www.powhatanchamber.org.
Chamber After Hours: This event began in 2010 and is held at a different business the first Tuesday of every month from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The gathering allows our members to showcase their business and offers networking opportunities. For more information, please visit www.powhatanchamber.org.
Heritage Photo Project: In partnership with the Economic Development Authority and the Powhatan Historical Society, this project is designed to heighten awareness of the County’s rich historical and cultural heritage and increase tourism and the tourism product, through a showcase of photographs displayed prominently in public buildings and business locations throughout the County.
