Mayor Welcome

Welcome to Fountain Inn! For over 130 years, this community has thrived thanks to our residents, our city staff and our business community. Between our historic Main Street filled with unique shops and restaurants, our diverse small businesses throughout our community, along with our industrial neighbors, our businesses provide an immensely strong backbone to our local economy.

Whether you’ve just moved here, opened your business here or are already involved in our Chamber, thank you for being a part of our community’s story! The Chamber plays a critical role in shaping our community. We rely on the leadership of the Chamber’s members and staff to help inform our work as we continue to strive to meet the needs of our businesses.

Fountain Inn’s location in southern Greenville County and northern Laurens County makes our city the perfect location for those looking to live in a small town, but still have easy access to all that our part of the state has to offer. Our businesses, from small stores to large manufacturers, provide stable employment opportunities, while our housing market makes it possible for families to have a wonderful place to come home to after work or school. Speaking of school, the brand new Fountain Inn High School is set to open in 2021, providing our town with the first new high school in Greenville County in over three decades. Our parks continue to provide wide open spaces for families to gather and our recreation teams to compete. All of this, plus consistent ratings as one of the safest cities in the state, make Fountain Inn the perfect place to raise a family and start a business.

Our community is buzzing throughout the year with activity, and I hope you will be able to experience some, or all, of it at some point. Our summer concert series, Dancin’ On Depot, occurs every Friday, and our Farmers Market is open on Saturday mornings during the summer. You can stop by our brand new Splash Pad on Main during the warmer months with the kids, or take the whole family to one of our great parks. In the fall, between the Chamber’s Aunt Het Festival and our community Halloween events, you’ll have lots of opportunities to see your neighbors, meet new folks, and frequent our local shops. Christmas is a special time in our town, with our “Christmas INN Our Town” festival, you can take a quaint horse-drawn carriage ride through the city, take a photo with Santa, and do a little (or a lot!) of shopping.

I hope that you take every opportunity to enjoy all that our community has to offer, and that you will consider becoming a member of our Chamber of Commerce to support the great work of our business community.
