Front Royal-Warren County prides itself on sustaining an environment where businesses of all sizes can prosper and thrive. Home to a broad spectrum of businesses including manufacturing, distribution, logistics and retail, Front Royal-Warren County is located within an eight-hour drive of one-half of the population of the United States. Warren County offers a skilled workforce and proximity to east-west and north-south interstate highway systems.

Axalta LLC (formerly DuPont) has operated its paint manufacturing plant in Warren County for nearly 30 years. It employs 325 people and produces automotive aftermarket paint and finishes. Axalta (DuPont) has expanded twice in the years it has operated in Front Royal.

At its 200,000-square-foot manufacturing facility, Toray Plastics America produces polypropylene foam for flooring under-layments and automotive interior trim. Toray has been in operation at its Front Royal plant since 1997 and employs 150 people.

Family Dollar and Ferguson Enterprises each operate large, state-of-the-art distribution centers in Front Royal and, together, employ nearly 600 people. SYSCO Northeast is one of the largest food service corporations in the country and operates an impressive distribution center in the Stephens Industrial Park and employs 320 people. InterChange Group is a logistics company that handles third-party distribution services.

The Virginia Inland Port is an intermodal container transfer facility interfacing truck and rail for the Ports of Virginia at Norfolk. Containers arrive by both modes for loading onto ocean-bound containers or for shipments throughout the United States. The Inland Port is located in a Foreign Trade Zone which provides export tariff abatements among other services.

Commercial and retail centers are plentiful in Front Royal and Warren County with three shopping centers in the town and two large shopping centers in the County. Downtown Front Royal offers a quaint atmosphere for shopping and dining. It is the gateway to the northern entrance of the Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park. Warren County is home to the convergence of the North and South Forks of the Shenandoah River and is designated the Canoe Capitol of Virginia.
