Geneva’s location along the 33-mile Fox River Trail offers easy access for bikers, hikers, joggers and cross-country skiers. Destinations reachable via this smooth-surface trail include the Tekakwitha Woods Forest Preserve and Nature Center, the Fabyan Forest Preserve, the Villa Museum and the Japanese Garden. Outdoor enthusiasts can also take advantage of the 17-mile Great Western Trail and the 12-mile Virgil L. Gilman Nature Trail. Each of these trails is open year-round and provides visitors with the opportunity to view wildlife and native plant life throughout the changing seasons.
The Geneva Park District provides recreational programs, facilities and open space that enhances the quality of life for residents of all age groups and abilities. The park district manages nearly 50 parks totaling more than 700 acres. Additionally, more than 35,000 toddlers, youths, teens, adults and seniors participate in over 2,500 programs annually. Included in the seasonal offerings are arts and crafts, athletics, cultural arts, dance, environmental education, fitness, gymnastics, martial arts, special events, summer camps, and senior activities and trips.
In addition to recreational programming, the Geneva Park District manages two BestLife Fitness centers, located inside the Stephen D. Persinger Recreation Center and Sunset Community Center. Other Geneva Park District facilities include Mill Creek Pool, Sunset Pool, Stone Creek Miniature Golf, The Links Disc Golf Course, Playhouse 38 Theater and Peck Farm Park.
Peck Farm Park is a unique and picturesque park in Geneva. It is a leader in providing environmental education, offering a wide variety of special events, camps and field trips, as well as family, youth and adult programs. The park is a full-day destination featuring a 385-acre park that includes trails, a sensory garden, a lake and a butterfly house. Also on the grounds, the 1869 Peck House features a discovery room and a history gallery. A silo has been converted into an observation tower that offers commanding views of the park. Hawks Hollow, a unique environmental educational playground, invites children and families to explore, touch, climb, learn and play using their imaginations while experiencing the smells, textures and wonders of the natural world. Peck Farm Park is a unique park found in an urban environment that offers residents and visitors a place to slow down and enjoy quality time surrounded by nature.

Eagle Brook Country Club and Geneva Golf Club each provide the setting for an enjoyable day on the greens regardless of skill level. Golfers can also take advantage of nearby courses including St. Charles’ Pheasant Run Resort and The Hawk Country Club.
The Fox Valley Ice Arena and Fitness Center is one of the premier family ice sports complexes in the greater Chicago area featuring one NHL rink, one international rink and a fitness center providing health, fitness and now medical services all in one location. Viewing events include ice skating competitions and hockey games. Classes and public skating is available year-round.
