Leesburg Regional Medical Center, part of Central Florida Health Alliance, has been serving our community for many years. The hospital is home to the only Designated Stroke Center in the region and is a front-runner in progressive, minimally invasive surgeries.
The Heart Institute at Leesburg Regional Medical Center has the largest open-heart program in the region, constantly performing the highest volume of coronary bypass surgeries than any other regional hospital. Leesburg Regional is also one of the few hospitals in Florida to offer minimally-invasive heart valve repair and replacement surgeries, which result in less pain, a shorter recovery time and minimal scarring.
The Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Center at Leesburg Regional Medical Center is a collaborative initiative with the National Healing Corporation and specializes in the treatment of chronic wounds and non-responsive conditions. This service offers hospital-based outpatient wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy, as well as disease management and diabetes care.
Leesburg Regional Medical Center now offers a team approach to pediatric care through the new Pediatric Hospitalist Program. Through this program, pediatricians and family-practice physicians can focus on hospitalized patients’ needs with in-house pediatric specialists.
Leesburg Regional Medical Center and The Villages Regional Hospital announced a new system name that collectively identified them as Central Florida Health Alliance. Each hospital kept its individual name and exceptional services while acknowledging that they shared the same commitment to quality care and service excellence.
The Villages Regional Hospital recently underwent a major expansion that increased in-patient capacity from 60 to 198 beds, added three new floors, expanded the emergency department and added a state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization suite with ambient lighting.
