Two outstanding hospitals anchor the local medical community:

Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital, part of the San Benito Healthcare District, has been a part of the Hollister area community since 1907. Among the hospital’s main features is a new Ambulatory Surgery Center, complete inpatient and outpatient laboratory services, 24-hour emergency care, a comprehensive radiology department and an excellent inpatient palliative care program. In addition to the main hospital complex, the system operates the Hazel Hawkins Community Health Clinic and Hazel Hawkins Mabie Health Care Center in Hollister, as well as the Hazel Hawks Community Health Clinic at San Juan Bautista.

Saint Louise Regional Hospital is a 93-bed acute care hospital in Gilroy. A member of the Daughters of Charity Health System, Saint Louise is a designated Primary Stroke Center and is equipped with an accredited Breast Care Center, a state-of-the-art emergency room, a Wound Care Center, maternal child health services, oncology services, pulmonary rehabilitation services and more. Off-campus, Saint Louise Regional Hospital operates the new De Paul Urgent Care Center in Morgan Hill.
