Prescott is home to the West Campus of Yavapai Regional Medical Center (YRMC), the largest acute care, not-for-profit hospital in the region and a six-time Consumer Choice Award winner. This full-service, 137-bed, state-of-the-art hospital is staffed by over 1,700 highly-trained professionals representing a wide range of healthcare expertise. The West Campus is home to the nationally respected James Family Heart Center and provides advanced emergency, surgical, imaging, laboratory and physical rehabilitation services.

In nearby Prescott Valley, YRMC’s East Campus provides a full range of healing services and is home to a growing Women’s Health Pavilion that features the Family Birthing Center and the BreastCare Center.

In addition to two state-of-the-art hospitals, YRMC also provides expert care through seven PhysicianCare practice locations in the Prescott and Prescott Valley area. These well-established group practices specialize in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Cardiology and Neurosurgery.

MOUNTAIN VALLEY REGIONAL REHABILITATION HOSPITAL

Recognized as one of the top 10 percent inpatient rehabilitation facilities in the country, Mountain Valley Rehabilitation Hospital is the only freestanding acute rehabilitation hospital in the central and northern areas of Arizona. An array of inpatient services – including Acute Rehabilitation, Nursing Care and management for those suffering from functional deficits – and outpatient services – including Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy – are available at this Prescott Valley-based hospital. The state-of-the-art facility is equipped with 40 patient beds, a 6,000-square-foot therapy gym, an aquatic therapy pool and an outdoor therapy courtyard.

NORTHERN ARIZONA VA HEALTH CARE SYSTEM

Eligible veterans in the north central Arizona region can take advantage of healthcare services through the Northern Arizona VA Health Care System. The main campus, the Bob Stump VA Medical Center, is located in Prescott. Five Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) located in Anthem, Flagstaff , Cottonwood, Kingman and Lake Havasu City serve veterans in northern Maricopa, Yavapai, Coconino, Mojave and Apache counties. Additionally there are Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Outreach Clinics on American Indian Nations in Chinle, Second Mesa and Tuba City, a VA Primary Care Clinic at the Indian Health Service Chinle Comprehensive Care Health Care facility, and a Primary Care Telemedicine Outpatient Clinic in Holbrook and soon to open in Page, AZ. The main Medical Center offers inpatient and outpatient care on a primary and secondary care level, including medical, specialty, rehabilitative and long-term care services.
