Blake Medical Center

The award-winning Blake Medical Center has been serving the needs of the community for more than 40 years. This 383-bed, regional, tertiary hospital boasts numerous medical services, including a Level II trauma center, open-heart surgery, joint replacement, inpatient rehabilitation and advanced burn care services.

One of the newest services Blake Medical Center provides to the community is microvascular surgery and complex hand repair.

“Our surgeons and surgical team provide compassionate, patient-centered care while offering a wide range of procedures,” says Melissa Morgan, director of marketing and public relations for the hospital.

The complex hand repair program includes treatment for acute traumatic hand injury, replantation, tendon and vessel repair, high-pressure injection injury and complex fractures.

Blake Medical Center has also expanded their Graduate Medical Education program. The Internal Medicine Residency program began in 2016 with 15 residents. In 2017, the program welcomed an additional 15 residents and added a Transitional Year Residency program with 13 residency positions. This program will continue to grow in coming years as new physicians are brought to the community.
