Public schools (K-12)
Educational excellence is the goal of the school districts in the Kleberg County area. There are currently four public schools districts: Kingsville Independent School District, Santa Gertrudis School District, Ricardo Independent School District and Riviera Independent School District. Our school districts all share a commitment to high standards and continuous improvement.
In addition to the various public school choices in Kingsville are three private, faith-based school for consideration. These schools include Epiphany Episcopal School, serving grades preK-5; and Presbyterian Pan American School, serving grades 9-12.
Work force education
Kingsville is proud to be home to a branch campus of Coastal Bend College, a comprehensive, public community college that offers technical certificate and degree programs in accounting, child development, computer information technology, cosmetology, general office management, medical coding specialist, law enforcement, office automation technology and vocational nursing. Also available are the academic courses to support associate degree programs as well as the CORE transfer to upper level intuitions in the state. University educational opportunities
Texas A & M University Kingsville opened in 1925, and is the oldest continuously operating public institution of higher education in South Texas. TAMUK is South Texas’s greatest university, offering more academic programs and degrees, providing better learning and living facilities, doing more research, awarding more scholarships and producing more successful graduates than any other college or university in the region.
