Chamber Connection

The Lancaster County Chamber of Commerce serves its members in many ways, providing every tool a business needs to grow and sustain success. Enhancing the business climate and quality of life, the Chamber’s knowledgeable staff work alongside dedicated members to achieve goals in networking, leadership development, bottom-line savings, advocating for business, and showcasing all its members have to offer.

Communicating the needs and concerns of business to public officials and lawmakers is front and center of Chamber activities. Through the Chamber’s public affairs division, members come together to bring issues that affect Lancaster County to light at the local, state and federal levels. The committee monitors legislation and government activity so they can plan accordingly here at home. Additionally, the committee is hands on, with planned trips to Columbia, South Carolina, and Washington, D.C., to discuss these policies.

When it comes to business growth, the Chamber encourages economic revitalization and downtown development, working with key stakeholders and creating partnerships that foster a strong future. Educational forums are also hosted on a range of topics, featuring expert speakers and networking opportunities.

The Chamber also provides specific and specialized services, with resources available for small businesses and companies owned by minorities, women and veterans. Promoting an entrepreneurial culture through targeted informational resources is just one of many ways the Chamber engages and educates business owners.

Members garner professional development within the Chamber when they share their expertise on committees, facilitate programs or participate in the longstanding ambassadors program. Here, members can serve as the face of the Chamber in the community, meeting and encouraging businesses to boost their potential and social capital.

The Chamber invites members and the community to network and socialize at outings and gala events throughout the year, shaking hands and trading business cards with potential customers.
