Ottawa Metro Park Beach
Enjoy a 450-foot sand beach swimming lake with wheelchair access, “raindrop” water fountain, Aqua Jump water trampoline with Aqua Launch attachment, slip-n-slide, vending machines and covered picnic area. Beach is also available for after-hours parties, from 8 a.m.-11 p.m. (one week advance notice). The beach is supervised by certified lifeguards and park rangers for visitors’ safety.

The Johnny Appleseed Metropolitan Park District, created in 1972, is a comprehensive system of natural areas and preserves designed to enhance the quality of life of the citizens of Allen County by providing passive outdoor recreational and educational opportunities while conserving and protecting the natural resources of the area for future generations. The park district currently has 12 park areas with over 1,400 acres for activities including hiking, picnicking, interpretive programs and guided nature walks, camping and swimming, fishing and boating, horseback riding and bicycling.
