Mayor Welcome

When I reflect on Lisle and our dynamic and exciting business community, I am proud of the growth we have seen over the last year with new initiatives and projects on the horizon.

The village’s pro-business philosophy continues to encourage economic development throughout Lisle. We are honored to support many new and interesting small businesses and mid-sized companies, as well as corporate giants with a global presence – all of which have chosen Lisle and have become part of our great community.

We remain constant in striving to ensure that we are best serving the needs of our existing businesses as well as recruiting new businesses that will be welcomed community assets for years to come. The village is fortunate to have a professional staff eager to ensure that business needs are being met.

The village strives to create a collaborative environment that welcomes community participation, while we continue to challenge ourselves to leverage new ways to encourage and promote businesses.

The village’s invigorated philosophy is also one that encourages businesses who are contemplating their next home to Think Lisle first. We are a town of nearly 23,000 residents with a daytime population of 34,000. Over 32,000 vehicles travel our Ogden corridor each day, and prime redevelopment opportunities existing both along the corridor and throughout the village. With this, a luxury apartment development, the Marq on Main, being built in the village’s downtown and new restaurants in several locations, Lisle has a momentum that is attractive to new businesses and those seeking to expand. We are also fortunate to possess a unique, small-town character that adds a welcoming dimension to our village.

We are home to more than 1,000 businesses, two universities, three top-notch full service hotels, many eclectic dining options and have the highly acclaimed Morton Arboretum neighboring to the north. Our diverse business community continues to experience exciting growth – both in our reinvigorated and pedestrian-friendly downtown area, and across our fine village into other thriving business districts.

I would like to personally thank each of the businesses that serve to make Lisle a dynamic place to do business. Here’s to continued growth in 2018 and beyond.
