Odessa Regional Medical Center
Located in the heart of West Texas, Odessa Regional Medical Center has been a trusted name in the community for more than 40 years. Odessa Regional Medical Center is a Steward Health Care Family Hospital, and is affiliated with Steward Medical Group. With 225 licensed beds, the medical center offers patients access to an array of services including neonatal intensive care, surgical weight loss, cardiac care, orthopedics services, advanced surgical procedures, rehabilitation, wound care, diagnostic imaging, fertility laboratory and help for a broad range of other medical conditions.

As a designated Level IV trauma facility, the medical center’s team of board-certified emergency medicine physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and registered nurses are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for all of life’s unexpected emergencies.

The medical center continuously excels in efficient, effective and fast care through evidence-based methods and best practices in cardiac and stroke care. Odessa Regional Medical Center is recognized by the Society of Cardiovascular Patient care as an accredited Chest Pain Center and by the DNV-Cl as a Level II Primary Stroke Center.

Leading the Permian Basin in maternity care, the medical center delivers more than 2,500 babies each year. Special services include a high-risk pregnancy center, a specialized inpatient unit for high-risk pregnant women and a 49-bed Level III designated neonatal intensive care unit. In addition to perinatal centers in Odessa and Midland, the medical center also has the area’s only fertility laboratory to help couples start their families.

The medical center features high-tech operating rooms to accommodate inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures in specialties ranging from general surgery to cardiovascular; gynecology; gastroenterology; and urology. A state-of-the-art Interventional Radiology suite with full digital subtracting capabilities allows for exceptional endovascular interventional procedures. The cath lab includes advanced technology for the diagnosis and treatment of heart and vascular conditions.

Texas Tech Physicians of the Permian Basin
The Texas Tech Physicians of the Permian Basin are the largest group practice in West Texas, consisting of more than 400 physicians in all specialties ranging from infants to geriatrics. Services in the Permian Basin are provided at clinics in Midland and Odessa.

Physicians provide both family-centered health care and a broad range of specialty services. The doctors’ large referral network allows patients easy access to meet their medical needs. The group’s skilled doctors provide a variety of health care services through both outpatient clinics. They have hospital privileges at Midland Memorial Hospital in Midland and Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.

In Odessa, the Texas Tech Physicians of the Permian Basin operate a facility at 701 W. 5th St., across from Medical Center Hospital. At this clinic, family and community medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics and internal medicine services are available. Texas Tech also operates an endocrinology and diabetes center at 8050 Hwy. 191, Ste. 213.

Medical Center Health System
Medical Center Health System is the most comprehensive health care provider in the Permian Basin. Founded 70 years ago, MCHS has grown from one facility that opened in 1949 into a family of health care providers delivering a broad range of advanced medical services to the people of Odessa and the surrounding 17 counties.

The small county hospital has evolved into a prosperous 402-bed regional medical center serving more than 100,000 patients annually. MCHS is made up of Medical Center Hospital, the Center for Women & Infants, the Center for Health & Wellness, Mission Fitness, MCH ProCare, MCH Family Health Clinic, MCH Sleep Center and Medical Center Health System Foundation. MCHS is also affiliated with Texas Tech Health Sciences Center, Permian Basin Healthcare Network, West Texas Cancer Center and is the only Children’s Miracle Network Hospital in the area.

As the only Level II trauma center in the Permian Basin, MCH is the leading provider of emergency and trauma care. MCHS is also a leader in cardiovascular services, inpatient and outpatient therapy, diagnostic testing, bariatric, stroke, orthopedic, and women’s services. MCHS specialty areas and services include the Center for Heart Disease, Diabetes Center, Cardiac and Pulmonary Center, wound care, orthopedics, Level III neonatal intensive care unit and Care Star Air Ambulance Service. In addition, MCHS offers three convenient urgent care Clinics and two clinics at Walmart.

MCH provides educational programs for the community through monthly lunch-and-learns, and provides free screenings to the community throughout the year at several local events. MCHS continues to add services and technology, including the hospital’s women’s imaging 3-D mammography and the daVinci XI. Many quality accreditations, certifications and achievements have been awarded to MCHS by the nation’s leading accreditation programs.
