Chamber Welcome

Welcome to Ontario, Oregon!

Ontario lies on the Snake River at the Oregon and Idaho border. With the convergence of the Payette, Malheur, Owyhee and Snake rivers, this area is known as the Four Rivers Region or the Western Treasure Valley. As a border town, Ontario serves as the principle city of Eastern Oregon and Western Idaho.

Ontario boasts four distinct seasons that our residents and visitors use to their advantage. Outdoor recreational activities in our backyard include hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, skiing, boating and golfing. Numerous events and festivals are scheduled throughout the year; many events occur on an annual basis and are enjoyed by all who attend. Give yourself extra time to leisurely browse the shopping areas and unique shops that our city has to offer. As you’ll see later in this directory, there are lodging and dining options for everyone in Ontario.

The Ontario Area Chamber of Commerce is a great starting point for planning your visit or move to the area. As a chamber with over 350 business members, our office staff can direct you to the shopping, dining, lodging, museums and recreational activities that interest you most.

On behalf of the Ontario Area Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors, I welcome you to Ontario and trust that you’ll enjoy your stay!
