ALLEMANSRÄTT WILDERNESS PARK is both a memorial to area Swedish heritage and a dedication to future generations. 125 acres of wooded land dotted with wetlands and prairie surround 20 acre Bull Lake in Lindstrom. Paddle in on the Chisago Lakes Water Trail and enjoy camping along the lake.

KI CHI SAGA PARK is the home to the historic Karl Oskar House; Nya Duvemåla. Overlooking South Center Lake, the 96-acre park hosts area celebrations and sporting events with a softball complex, soccer fields, playground and hiking trails. Two primitive campsites are also available.

OJIKETA REGIONAL PARK originally started in 1926 as a Campfire Girls campground is now the largest park in Chisago City with 70 acres of natural beauty on Green Lake offering, hiking trails for summer and winter use, woodlands, wildflowers, swimming and fishing. Plan to camp or stay in a cabin while planning a gathering using the beautiful banquet facilities and breathtaking chapel.

MINNESOTA INTERSTATE STATE PARK offers 298 acres of diverse landscape along the Wild and Scenic St. Croix River. Explore the unique glacial potholes and climb or simply view the breathtaking cliffs of the St. Croix River Dalles. Hike the trails, take pleasure in a paddle boat ride filled with history of the area and enjoy camping.

WILD RIVER STATE PARK has much to share in its 7,000 acres of scenic land along the shores of the Wild and Scenic St. Croix River. Choose from trails for hiking, biking, horseback riding, cross country skiing and nature walks. Enjoy the outdoor amphitheater, interpretive center, campsites, camper-cabins and the cozy guesthouse during your stay.

THE CHISAGO LAKES WATER TRAIL offers 13 miles of paddling on 10 beautiful lakes. Grab your gear or rent some for a great time navigating this new trail. Enjoy a bite to eat at one of the local restaurants just off the trail on Main Street and set up camp for the night at a nature park within city limits to get ready for another day of adventure. For frozen water trail fun, strap on skis or jump on a fat-tire bike and traverse the winter wonderland.

THE SWEDISH BARN QUILT TRAIL beckons to be followed through charming downtowns and rural country roads where the bold and beautiful quilt squares pop into view, highlighting businesses to venture into or barns that tell stories.

The Chisago Lakes Area Community Foundation created the trail by partnering with area artists and business sponsors with the vision to bring beauty and culture to Chisago Lakes along the Highway 8 corridor. With over 70 quilt squares adorning buildings and barns, some up to 8 foot square in size, these paintings are magnificent to view and worth the treasure hunt drive.

THE SWEDISH IMMIGRANT TRAIL invites biking and hiking along miles of hard surface paths through beautiful scenery and over picturesque bridges. The trail runs parallel to the route early immigrants used when establishing their farms and towns. Development of the trail continues with the ultimate goal of 20 miles, linking the community from Taylors Falls to Wyoming by a beautiful, multi-use trail system.

THE ST. CROIX NATIONAL SCENIC RIVERWAY is the perfect place to enjoy the unmatched views of natural beauty along the wild and scenic St. Croix River. It is excellent for wildlife viewing, hiking, biking, camping, hunting, snowmobiling and other year round activities.
