Family-owned and operated, 559 beer was the first microbrewery and craft beer taproom in Clovis. Eight beers are featured on tap for guests to sample, enjoy a pint or two and take home bottles or cans of their favorites.

In 2012 Rhett Williams, a Clovis West alum, opened 559.Beer in Old Town Clovis. His family’s heritage in the San Joaquin Valley dates back over 100 years. 559 Beer promotes the area known as 559 across California, and the nation shining a positive light on the people, places and culture we call home.

Its Wawona Peach Ale has been featured in the October 2015 issues of Food & Wine magazine, Sunset Magazine and visitCalifornia.com, showcasing the nation’s largest grower-processor and a new novel use of peaches in craft beer.

559 Beer focuses on valley-grown ingredients for its beers and has produced brews such as Raisin Farmer Ale, Fig Garden Stout, Wawona Peach Ale and Wawona Strawberry Ale.

Blast & Brew offers a unique atmosphere in the heart of Old Clovis and a wall of 38 self-serve craft beers. Celebrating its first anniversary, the full-service casual dining restaurant is known for its selection of hand-crafted pizzas, salads, sandwiches, pastas and appetizers.

Blast & Brew is locally inspired in all facets of its operation and partners with local and regional craft breweries to introduce customers to a wide range of beers. Sourced brewers include Lagunitas, Drake’s and Lost Coast in Northern California and Firestone-Walker, Figueroa Mountain and Tioga Sequoia in Central California.

It’s also a lunch destination with a new special promotion offering eight new items for $8 each. The special runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.

House of JuJu is a family-owned business that offers a variety of different foods and cocktails. The goal is to provide a place to come to not only enjoy great food and great drinks, but also a place you can come and feel like you belong. JuJu offers a variety of food options including burgers, salads and wraps. Last year House of JuJu relocated to the SoFi District at Centennial Plaza. House of JuJu has expanded their menu and added seafood to the menu as well as banquet rooms for private parties.

Established in 2012, family-owned and operated Coffee House is located in the heart of Old Town Clovis. It offers a welcoming atmosphere and a delicious variety of coffees, teas and smoothies, as well as a breakfast and lunch menu. The patio creates a great atmosphere for the community, especially with scheduled weekend evening events featuring live music. On the Edge Coffee House offers local beer and wine along with common favorites.

Located in the SoFi District of Old Town Clovis, Roll Me Some brings the popular rolled ice cream trend to Clovis, Fresno and Central Valley. Roll Me Some’s mission is to offer customers a unique dessert experience. Their artisanal ice cream rolls are crafted in front of the customers. Roll Me Some was inspired by Thailand’s usage of freezing fried ice cream. Boasting fresh, locally sourced ingredients from around the Central Valley, the ice cream creations are free from preservatives and chemical flavorings.

Tactical Ops Brewing

This military-themed small-batch brewery features beers with military monikers such as bayonet, blonde bomber, bunker brown, double nickel nine, Shrapnel and valor. The brewhouse offers two tap rooms.

Owners Brandon Broussard and Justin Campagne chose the military theme to pay tribute to those in the service who fight for freedom. Broussard’s father served 22 years in the U.S. Navy Seabees, and Campagne’s brother flies F-15’s for the California Air National Guard. In addition, most Tacital Ops employees are military veterans.

The Rodeo Coffee Shop is a locally-owned and operated restaurant located in Old Town Clovis. Rodeo Coffee Shop has been serving breakfast for over 50 years. Signature breakfast options include chicken fried steak and eggs, special recipe French toast and the coffee shop’s famous enchilada omelet. For lunch the Rodeo Coffee Shop specializes in hand crafted sandwiches and burgers. They also offer homemade pies and hand-scooped milkshakes or malts. They are open seven days a week.
