Desert Mountain Park
22201 S. Hawes Rd., Queen Creek
Desert Mountain Park is located on the southeast corner of Hawes and Ocotillo roads. This award-winning park features:
• Two lighted multipurpose fields
• Four lighted Little League fields
• Two playgrounds (one designed for ages 2-5, one designed forages 5-12)
• One interpretive playground
• Two sand volleyball courts (with a sprinkler system to wet down the sand)
• Two lighted basketball courts
• Eight picnic ramadas (one large-group ramada)
• One amphitheater (with picnic ramada seating for 150-200 people)
• Demonstration garden
• Equestrian staging area
• Wash trail access
• ADA access
• Ample parking
• Total acreage: 33 acres

Founders’ Park

Founders’ Park is located directly across the street from town hall in the heart of Queen Creek. This neighborhood park features:
• One lighted softball field
• One lighted multi-purpose field
• Two lighted basketball courts
• Lighted skate park
• Splash pad
• Playground
• Four picnic ramadas
• Horseshoe pits
• Community center
• Total acreage: 11.5 acres

San Tan Mountain Regional Park
6533 W. Phillips Rd., Queen Creek
Consisting of over 10,000 acres, the southeast Valley park is a fine example of the lower Sonoran Desert. The park ranges in elevation from about 1,400 feet to over 2,500 feet. Goldmine Mountain is located in the northern area, with a spectacular San Tan Mountain escarpment in the southern portion of the park. The vegetation changes from creosote flats to dense saguaro forest.
Various types of wildlife may be observed, including reptiles, birds, and mammals. Amenities are slated for future development.
Park hours: open year-round 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday-Saturday
Splash Pad at Founders Park
22407 S Ellsworth Rd., Queen Creek
On the opposite side of Queen Creek, you will find the Splash Pad at Founders’ Park across from town hall. Over 4,000 square feet, the splash pad features various above-ground water features.
Enjoy the newly built shade structures while the kids play.
Hours: March 7, open for the season 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; May-August, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; September-October ,10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; November-February, closed.
