Recreation in Lindsay

The Lindsay Youth Council was established in 1993, through the efforts of the Chamber of Commerce and president at that time, Bronc Jackson. He and his committee formed the Lindsay Youth Council and spent hundreds of hours making this project a dream come true. The land was purchased and donated by J.K. Griffith.

This six-field complex that consists of two T-ball fields, two softball fields and two baseball fields, hosts slow-pitch softball, fast-pitch softball, T-ball, baseball, co-ed softball and Lindsay Middle School and High School Softball events.

The council is currently working to establish qualifying tournaments as well as other tournaments throughout the spring and summer.

Griffith Park in Lindsay is a great complex built with the vision to be the best in this area. Under the direction of the Youth Council, the park was built and flourishes through volunteer work. Recent improvements and additions include shaded picnic tables, shaded bleachers and 20 trees planted to add shade to the park.

The Lindsay Youth Council is committed to serving the youth of our town and surrounding communities.
