Health Care

Santa Clara residents are served by Kaiser Permanente, America’s largest nonprofit healthcare organization. An integrated health delivery system, Kaiser Permanente provides complete member care including prenatal and well-baby care, immunizations and diagnostic screening, as well as full medical, hospital and pharmacy services.

Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara Medical Center is dedicated to providing quality care for its members and their families, and to improve the health of the community. Serving Santa Clara and all of Silicon Valley, the Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara Medical Center provides high-quality health care for 289,000 members at its medical facility at Homestead Road and Lawrence Expressway, and at its three satellite clinics in Campbell, Milpitas and Mountain View.

The Santa Clara facility features a 270-provider medical office building, which opened in 2005, and a 327-bed acute care hospital, which opened in August 2007, to replace the old hospital on Kiely Boulevard. More than 485 physicians and 4,300 staff care for members in the Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara Medical Center service area, which extends as far north as Palo Alto, as far south as San Jose, to Milpitas in the east and to the Santa Cruz Mountains in the west.

Another one of our large and popular health care facilities is the Palo Alto Medical Foundation, which includes the former Camino Medical Group. Their Santa Clara Center is a spacious storefront medical clinic, conveniently located off El Camino Real, between Kiely and San Tomas Expressway. Patients enjoy the convenience of on-site laboratory and radiology services to support the family practice, pediatrics and internal medicine departments.

Physicians work together to provide patients with the best and most comprehensive care. Santa Clara Clinic’s group of primary care physicians have immediate access to specialist consultations if needed, and can help to expedite emergent or urgent specialist care appointments.
