BUFFALO GROVE HIGH SCHOOL RECOGNIZED AS TOP SCHOOL

Buffalo Grove High School continues to be recognized as a top high school in Illinois and nationwide. Our students have access to a rigorous curriculum offering 15 Honors level courses, 29 AP courses and 68 Dual Credit college courses. They experience tremendous success academically. In 2018, BG students took 1,828 AP Exams, with an overall pass rate of 75.7%. Nearly 60% of our 2018 graduates received a 3 or higher on at least one AP exam. The average SAT score for the Class of 2019 is 1106, exceeding both state and national averages by nearly 100 points. The average ACT score for the Class of 2018 was 25.6, well above both state and national averages. BGHS students continue to partner with our community through the Career Pathways program that highlights the community-led effort between industry and education. Students have the opportunity to earn 39 different industry certifications and to explore multiple career pathways while still students at BGHS. The school also offer 26 multi-level athletic programs and over 42 clubs and activities and an award-winning Fine Arts program. Our One Grove Art Gallery provides space for student and professional artwork. Each year the school takes a day out to give back to our community through service and volunteerism. Above all, BGHS is committed to serving the whole student, transitioning them through Freshman Advisory to College and Career Readiness. BGHS is committed to ensuring that all students exit prepared with skills essential for productive futures.
