Lisle has a variety of skilled medical professionals ready to assist residents and, if needed, help them get higher-level care at some of the most respected hospitals in the Midwest.

In downtown Lisle, Northwestern Medicine Regional Medical  Group, 1019 School St., provides primary care outpatient services for  the entire family.

A board-certified internist and pediatrician diagnose and treat a wide range of illnesses, as well as providing check-ups and screenings for all ages. A board-certified endocrinologist also provides care for a variety of hormone imbalances and endocrine disorders, including diabetes and thyroid concerns.

Northwestern Medicine is an integrated health care system bringing together physicians and researchers from award-winning facilities throughout the Chicago area. The system also provides high-quality inpatient care at Northwestern Medicine at Central DuPage Hospital, Winfield.

DuPage Medical Group’s Lisle Medical Office Building, a 100,000-square-foot, two-story structure at 430 Warrenville Rd., provides an array of outpatient medical services seven days a week.

Staffed by more than 50 physicians and 310 employees, DuPage Medical Group provides same-day, after-hours and immediate care services as well as video visits, e-visits, and a host of diagnostic and specialty treatment services.

The expansive onsite radiology center includes a full breast center, and DMG was the first to offer 3-D mammography screening capabilities in the western suburbs. In addition to Central DuPage Hospital, other inpatient facilities that often serve Lisle residents include Advocate Good Samaritan in Downers Grove, Edward Hospital in Naperville and AMITA Health Adventist Medical Center Hinsdale.

AMITA Health has strong ties to Lisle, as it will complete the move of its headquarters to the village in 2018. AMITA Health is the largest health system in Illinois, with 19 hospitals and more than 230 sites of care.

The DuPage County Health Department also offers access to health services, screenings, immunizations and a wealth of health and wellness information through the DuPage County Health Department, 111 N. County Farm Rd., Wheaton.


Government

Village of Lisle government is committed to providing the best service possible to their residents, the Lisle Village Board consists of the mayor, a six-member board of trustees and a village clerk. The mayor, trustees and clerk are all elected to four-year terms. All policies for the village, as well as the enactment of municipal laws, are the responsibility of the mayor and trustees. Responsibility for processing village ordinances and resolutions and primary record keeping belongs to the office of the village clerk.

In addition to the village board, the Village of Lisle has several advisory boards, commissions and committees, among them the Economic Development Commission, Planning and Zoning Commission and Special Events Committee.

For residents looking to give back to their community, the Volunteers 4 Lisle program offers the opportunity to help the village better prepare for routine and emergency situations. Modeled after the Volunteers in Police Service program, Volunteers 4 Lisle partners with the Lisle Police Department to assist with operations, support and administration. Dedicated to the safety and well-being of residents and visitors alike are the 38 officers of the Lisle Police Department, as well as eight civilian support and five community service personnel. Through response to calls and programs that foster community interaction, the men and women of the department help make day-to-day life in Lisle a safe place to live, work and play.

The Lisle-Woodridge Fire District serves the Village of Lisle, a large portion of the Village of Woodridge and some unincorporated areas of DuPage County, providing fire protection, emergency medical and related services to approximately 70,000 residents over 25 square miles. Operating independent of the Village of Lisle, the Lisle-Woodridge Fire District is an ISO Class 1 fire district, the highest rating awarded by the Insurance Services Office. A property owner’s insurance premiums are lower as a result of this rating.


Houses of Worship

The Lisle area has an active spiritual community representing many faiths, including Catholic, Lutheran, United Methodist, African Methodist Episcopal and non-denominational.

The open doors of churches, synagogues and temples serve as a starting point for those looking to get involved in charitable causes, fundraisers and volunteer opportunities. Pancake breakfasts, wellness fairs and school-related activities are common events at places of worship, as members take special care to help those in need.

In addition, the Science of Spirituality Meditation Center will open its new national headquarters in Lisle this summer. The nonprofit organization is open to the public and all its programs and workshops are free of charge.
