Chamber Connection

CHAMBER STRUCTURE

The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce is headed by a 27-member board of directors elected by the general membership to set policy, control property, manage its finances and direct its affairs. Members of the Chamber’s board are appointed to three-year terms.

The Chamber has six divisions set by the board of directors with task forces and project teams working toward priority goals, workforce development, mobility and legislative issues. Chamber members are encouraged to participate and further these priorities through the Chamber’s various teams and special events. The Chamber also has a professional staff that can assist members with many of their business needs.

Ribbon Cuttings

The Chamber hosts ribbon cuttings throughout the month as a way of celebrating milestones for our members. Show your support for a fellow member by joining the Chamber, the Diplomat Team and the proud business owners as they memorialize their grand openings, anniversaries, and location moves with a ceremonial cut of the red ribbon.

Visitor Centers

Centers are located in Market Street and The Woodlands Mall. The Chamber has staff on-site to assist guests and distribute marketing material. The goal is to be responsive to the needs of our visitors. The visitor centers provide complimentary bag check at Market Street’s concierge, restaurant guide and reservation service, event calendars and information about The Woodlands.

They also provide maps, assistance with shopping suggestions, transportation, weather forecast, visitor bags and more. Visitor bags offer Chamber members the opportunity to showcase their products and services to residents and visitors in our area.

The Partners Program is also an opportunity for Chamber members to advertise their business at the visitor center at Market Street and The Woodlands Mall. These opportunities include paying for a space at the guest service booth to display a flier or rack card or renting our Chamber kiosk in The Woodlands Mall. In 2017, the visitor centers saw 87,110 visitors from 687 Texas Zip codes, 52 states, districts and territories and 80 countries.Business Connections

Our monthly business connection events are hosted by a different Chamber business every month. During these socials, beverages and hors d’oeuvres are provided by the host company. Come join us for a time of professional networking.
