Covina Farmer’s Market and Family Night Friday Night Market: Held in Civic Center Park from April through December in the heart of Downtown Covina, this Certified Farmers Market includes crafters, food and entertainment for the entire family.
Thunderfest – Bluesapalooza: Fall wouldn’t be the same without the roar of engines and the sound of music. Each October, historic Downtown Covina comes alive with the sound of hot rods and street rods “revving up” their engines for show and nostalgia. Custom motorcycles can also be found on display. This annual October event brings renowned blues and jazz musicians to entertain the crowds. Held at various venues simultaneously, this is a real favorite for music lovers. This family event attracts over 30,000 people.
Halloween Carnival: This free, family-oriented event is held each year at Covina Park and is sponsored by the Covina Breakfast Lions Club, one of several active service organizations serving the community.
Christmas Parade & Tree Lighting: The first Friday of each December, Covina lights up the Christmas Tree, the kick off for the Annual Christmas Parade held the first Saturday of December. Thousands look forward to this spectacular parade each year, and it is one of the largest nighttime parades in Southern California.
Cuisines of Covina: This annual event features sensational cuisine from local restaurants and a first run movie, plus a few added treats. This is a must-attend for you, your family and business associates.
Covina Chamber of Commerce Installation Dinner: The Annual Installation Dinner combined with Citizen of the Year is held in January. This is a special evening set aside to honor the volunteers who serve the Covina Chamber of Commerce so graciously each year, and a citizen who has made great contributions to Covina and its residents.
Police & Fire Awards Luncheon: This well-attended annual event held in September is a wonderful opportunity to thank the men and women in public safety who watch out for us in our homes and businesses throughout the year.
Annual Bob Russo Business Awards: Each year we honor outstanding businesses selected from various categories including: Retail, Wholesale, Manufacturing and Service. Recognition is given for Marketing, Customer Service and Community Service.
Covina Park/Festival of Music: The annual Festival of Music, one of Covina’s longest standing events, presents seven nights of outstanding bands and orchestras performing everything from pop rock to classical to Dixieland Jazz. This event has been a fixture of life in Covina for over four decades.
City of Covina Summer Evening Entertainment Series: Presented by the Parks and Recreation Department, this Monday through Thursday family entertainment series takes place each summer at the Charles L. King Bandshell in the Host Lions Pavilion at Covina Park, extending over a six-week period beginning the first Monday in July following Independence Day. The series features live musical concerts on Mondays, children’s night, a “Hot Nights & Cool Jazz” series and an old-fashioned concert in the park ”Kids’ Night Out” with music, movies and magic on Tuesdays and free bingo for seniors on Thursdays, prior to featuring the weekly performances of the Covina Concert Band. The season concludes with the Wednesday “Gong Show,” which is a 20-year-plus tradition featuring great local talent, a comic master of ceremonies and celebrity judges.
