The Woodlands Waterway
Winding half a mile through the heart of The Woodlands, this waterway can be traveled by kayak or walked or biked alongside. Prominent stops along the way include Waterway Square, The Woodlands Town Center, The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion and The Woodlands Mall.
The Woodlands Town Center Trolley
Catch a ride on a Town Center Trolley, available seven days a week, free of charge, for travel throughout The Woodlands Town Center. Stops include Market Street, Waterway Square, The Woodlands Mall, Hughes Landing, hotels, residences and Restaurant Row. There’s even a new ride systems app that tracks trolleys in real time to know when the next one is available.
The Woodlands Express Park and Ride
If traveling into Houston for business, consider The Woodlands Express Park and Ride, a comfortable, convenient and economical way to commute. Destinations include the Texas Medical Center, Greenway Plaza and the Central Business District of Houston. Scheduled service is provided Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
Located in the heart of downtown, The Waterway Square is a 1-acre plaza surrounded by 30 mature Nuttall red oak trees and features a 120-foot-long, 10-foot-high stone water wall. All ages enjoy the choreographed fountains of colored lights throughout the day, in addition to restaurants, shops and more.
The Ice Rink at The Woodlands Town Center
During the winter months of mid-November to mid-January, skaters can enjoy one of the largest rinks in the southwest. Located near The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in a 21,000-square-foot multipurpose facility, the rink features a party area, concessions and a state-of-the-art sound system.
Riva Row Boat
House and Lakes Edge Boat House
Go for a glide down The Woodlands Waterway on a paddleboard or kayak from the Riva Row Boat House on The Woodlands Waterway and enjoy the scenic route through the town. Located near the boardwalk and Restaurant Row in Hughes Landing, Lakes Edge Boat House is the place to rent kayaks for those looking to enjoy Lake Woodlands at its best. Kayaks are available for rent year-round, with or without a reservation.

Town Green Park
Enjoy 4 acres of fun at Town Green Park, the 100th park built in The Woodlands. Relax, have a picnic or play on the Great Lawn, a greenspace nearly as long as two football fields, or stroll through a labyrinth filled with life-sized characters from Aesop’s Fables. Spring Creek Greenway
Get back to nature at the Spring Creek Greenway, a preserve that, upon completion, will feature nearly 12,000 acres of parks, nature preserves, botanical gardens and more throughout Montgomery and Harris counties. Hiking, equestrian trails, bicycling, canoeing, kayaking, fishing and more are attract residents and visitors alike.

The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion
Named in honor of Cynthia Woods Mitchell, the wife of The Woodlands’ founder, this center for the performing arts hosts more than 60 events throughout the year, including renowned performers, such as Foreigner, Miranda Lambert and Ozzy Osbourne. Located on the banks of The Woodlands Waterway, this outdoor venue features performances of rock, country music, jazz, opera, classical music and more.
