Residential Housing

Turlock is proud of its small-town charm, which is very evident throughout the downtown and residential neighborhoods. More than half the homes in Turlock are owner occupied, creating pride within the community.

Currently, there are more than 24,000 homes in the area meaning there is truly something to fit everyone’s budget and tastes. In 2013, 20 permits were secured for the new construction of single-family and multi-family dwellings. As the city continues to grow, so does the housing market.

The median home price in 2013 was $180,000, below the California state average, providing more people with the opportunity to achieve the American dream of owning a home. Of course for those not interested in home ownership Turlock has many other options available including town homes, condos and apartments.
