Village of Gilberts


The Village of Gilberts is a progressive municipality of 7,556 on the northwestern edge of the Chicago metropolitan area. Gilberts nurtures a sense of community and quality of life typical of a small town, while offering business and residential opportunities conveniently close to the employment, shopping and economic development opportunities the Chicago metro area offers.

Census information from 2015 reflects a strong, stable community with a median annual household income of over $105,379 and median home value of $323,000. The media company Niche just rated Gilberts No. 1 as Best Suburb to Buy a House in the Chicago area. Nestled among 1,200 acres of forest preserves, parks and trails, Gilberts enjoys seasonal community events including the annual Easter Egg Hunt, Community Days (first weekend after Memorial Day), movies in the park (summer months), the Fall Bonfire (October) and the holiday tree lighting in November. Gilberts’ Town Center Park offers a new splash park, playground, and athletic facilities in Town Center Park.

The Village of Gilberts is pleased to announce Network Gilberts, an economic development initiative to assist new and existing businesses. Network Gilberts recently partnered with Wide Open West to provide high-speed Internet service to the entire business district in Gilberts. The Village of Gilberts notes the continuing development of Prairie Corporate Park, with close to 1 million square feet of industrial space either occupied or under construction, and the development of the Conservancy, a 985-home subdivision featuring gigabit fiber to the home offered by Fosiva.
