Leadership

The State Chamber’s Leadership Nebraska was designed for professionals who have demonstrated community and leadership experience. The program helps existing and emerging leaders gain in-depth knowledge about the issues facing Nebraska’s economy, businesses and communities.

The year-long program consists of six sessions held across the state. Each session covers key topics in economic development, agriculture, education, health care and government and policy. And every session features speakers who are recognized leaders in their specific fields, along with discussion and debate on current issues. Class members tour communities and facilities to provide a first-hand experience and an opportunity to see the diversity of Nebraska.

The program is open to all adult residents of the state. Leadership Nebraska selects 25-30 participants every year with an emphasis on creating a diverse group geographically, as well as occupationally.

Currently, there are more than 250 Leadership Nebraska alumni across the state – an impressive statewide network that benefits participants long after graduating from the program. Oversight for the program is provided by an alumni advisory council.
