Welcome to the best town in the nation! My family and I moved here over 30 years ago and like to tell people that we feel like we are on vacation every day!
This community that we call home is definitely one in a million. With anything you need at your fingertips, and filled with people like no other Kernersville is fondly referred to as “Yourville.”
In the late1800s, Kernersville became a place to remember and has continued that tradition throughout the years. It is brimming with historic homes and places. We are proud of the heritage that is alive and well today.
Kernersville is situated between major roadways. This assists in ease to spend the day and even the weekend enjoying the shops, restaurants, parks and all that Kernersville has to offer. Being called a destination is fitting for those who live, work, do business and visit Kernersville.
We have a community that supports each other. There are many events throughout the year such as the Recycle Day, Healthy Living Expo, Spring Folly the first full weekend in May and Eating for Education always the second Wednesday of the month in July, August and September; The Honeybee Festival in August is put on by the Kernersville Parks and Recreation; and the July 4 5K run, parade, SplashB4 The Blast and fireworks are put on by different organizations in our community. The Christmas Parade, traditionally held the first Sunday in December, is one of the largest in the area. Not to mention each of the downtown events that stretch from May through December.
