Morton Grove Public Library


For 80 years the Morton Grove Public Library has served the informational, educational, professional and recreational needs of Morton Grove’s diverse community.

The library’s print and electronic collections provide access to thousands of items for all ages. They include the latest bestsellers and old classics, books in world languages and on various subjects, CDs, DVDs, Blu-ray discs, magazines and newspapers.

The library’s online resources provide access to live tutor homework help, test preparation and software tutorials, Consumer Reports online, downloadable and streaming media and many other resources.

Each month the library sponsors many informational and entertaining programs, from dramatic and musical performances to lectures on topical subjects to librarian-led book discussions and computer workshops. Story times, arts and crafts, and STEAM programs are very popular among kids, teens, and their parents.

The library provides study rooms, and a variety of additional services, including internet access stations, Wi-Fi, use of Microsoft Office products, scanning and photocopying machines. The library’s new Digital Media Lab offers the space, equipment, and software for getting creative with video, music and design. Librarians regularly hold workshops on converting VHS or audio tapes and LPs to digital files or CDs.

The library’s website,www.mgpl.org, has a wealth of information about library resources, new materials and services, access to eBooks, eAudiobooks and streaming video and events at the library.
