Among other services, the Niles Township Government processes passport applications from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday with evening hours only by appointment the second and fourth Mondays each month.
To keep up with a continuously changing economy, the township now serve the working poor, many single parents and senior citizens facing the “heat or eat decision.” Other people assisted by the township have experienced job elimination, extended unemployment or illness and unforeseen setbacks that can alter one’s life.
The Niles Township Food Pantry now helps about 3,800 individuals each month with supplemental groceries and hygiene items. If you would like to help a neighbor make ends meet, donate to the food pantry online at ntfpfoundation.com/how-to-help.
To donate by check or in person, visit or mail contributions to the Niles Township office at 5255 Main St., Skokie, IL 60077.
