Ron Taylor, Belvidere Board of Realtors President, stated Boone County residential home sales have increased steadily over the last several years, as have property values. Last year alone there were 739 single family dwellings sold in Boone County. That’s a 5% increase over the previous year with the same type of growth in 2017 compared to 2016. Average price of a home sold in Boone County last year was 3% higher than the previous year and there was a similar increase in values in 2017 compared to 2016.
We have also experienced a substantial increase in new construction in Boone County over the last couple of years. 31 new homes were sold in Boone County in 2018 compared to 20 in 2017. All indications are that new construction will continue to grow in our community for the foreseen future.
All in all the Real Estate market has been healthy for the last several years and we are anticipating our growth to continue.
