Odessa is a special place filled with people who exhibit West Texas hospitality and understand the importance of building relationships on every level. The people of Odessa are its greatest resource. They are driven, hard working, generous and innovative. The people of Odessa have shown their compassion, kindness and resilience in the face of difficult circumstances. They are the driving force behind moving Odessa forward in the future.
The booming economy has had a significant impact on our community. New businesses, restaurants and retail stores seem to open daily providing opportunities for residents and visitors to shop, eat and enjoy Odessa. The opening of the brand new Odessa Marriott Hotel and Conference Center was a huge step in revitalizing Downtown Odessa. It is a beautiful building epitomizing the landmarks, history and people of Odessa. In this time of growth, opportunities are endless.
The economic boom also creates challenges for our community. The Chamber of Commerce is in a position to play a pivotal role in tackling these issues. We must continue to focus on housing, roads, infrastructure and education as we move ahead to ensure our community not only continues to grow but also thrive.
Businesses, community leaders, the Chamber and the City as a whole continues to work together to provide solutions to meet the needs of a growing population and economy. There is much work to be done, but the future is bright.

The Permian Basin economy is alive and well! We as Odessans and West Texans enjoy a great place to live, work and play. The work of the Odessa Chamber of Commerce helps support and create an environment in which businesses can thrive.
Since it was formed in 1934, the Odessa Chamber is involved in every arena from business advocacy, economic and community development to education, transportation, workforce development, leadership and tourism. The Odessa Chamber promotes local interests and an improved quality of life to ensure our businesses and residents can succeed.
The Odessa Chamber has almost 750 members and 80 percent of those are considered small business, which is the backbone of America. While we serve and advocate on behalf of our members, it’s also important for the business members to work with our Chamber staff to help make their particular services and products known to potential customers. The best Chamber member is active, involved and visible.
Odessa Chamber membership gives you a competitive edge on a daily basis. We are the voice working for the more than 28,000 employees we represent. We are strong and successful due to the many leaders and volunteers who work alongside us each and every day, assuring that Odessa’s future is bright!
