Business & Industry

According to the Edmond Economic Development Authority (EEDA), Edmond offers one of the most-educated workforces in the southwest region of the United States. Of persons age 25 and older, 53.3 percent possess at least a bachelor’s degree; there are more than 100,000 college students within 45 minutes of Edmond; and each year Francis Tuttle assists hundreds of companies through its Business and Industry Services division.

Although a sizable number of Edmond residents commute to the Oklahoma City area or Tinker Air Force Base, many companies and entrepreneurs are building businesses and opportunities within Edmond’s city limits. The city’s central location, in combination with the recognized opportunities in education, small tax load and overall quality of life, add up to create a dynamic business climate for the Edmond community.

Businesses in Edmond have access to a considerable amount of resources provided by the EEDA, including marketing services, resource library and business navigation. An Edmond Economic Incentive Policy, as well as the Oklahoma Quality Jobs Program, provide incentives to qualified companies choosing to expand an existing facility or locate a new business in Edmond. n
