Pelham Medical Center
Pelham Medical Center, at the intersection of Westmoreland Road and Highway 14, is Greer’s only certified Primary Stroke Center and provides a wide range of services including surgery, intensive care, emergency services with low wait times, full diagnostic capabilities, medical and surgical specialties, world-class cancer treatment and primary care.
As a part of Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System, Pelham Medical Center consists of 48 inpatient rooms and is continuously expanding services to meet the needs of patients. The hospital design focuses on both comfort and convenience for patients and visitors. This focus carries over into each patient room with several room features designed to maximize functional efficiency and effectiveness for the patient care team.
The medical center harnesses the power of the Medical Group of the Carolinas, a physician network of more than 300 physicians. Adjacent to the hospital and Medical Office Building is the Surgery Center, the first freestanding outpatient surgery center in the Greer area.
Modern Healthcare recognized Pelham Medical Center in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 as one of the Best Places to Work in Healthcare.
The renowned Gibbs Cancer Center & Research Institute – Pelham delivers comprehensive, personalized cancer care to patients. A 190,000-square-foot expansion of Gibbs at Pelham is scheduled to open in Spring 2020. A full complement of services will be available to all patients at Gibbs at Pelham including surgical oncology, medical oncology, radiation oncology, research and clinical trials, rehabilitation services, patient navigation, infusion, lab services, pharmacy and integrative medicine. Every patient at Gibbs has their case reviewed by a multidisciplinary team of specialists. Physicians gather together to discuss each cancer case. These conferences are fundamentally integrated into the design of the building, which is designed to make treatment and care easier and more convenient for patients.
