Founded in 1954, Good Shepherd Health Care System (GSHCS) is a progressive non-profit healthcare system located in Hermiston Oregon. GSHCS mission is to provide compassionate, high quality, and accessible health care, and to promote a healthy community. GSHCS upholds this high standard placing an emphasis on four core values in elegant order; quality, compassion, courtesy, and efficiency.
GSHCS is fully accredited by Det Norske Veritas-GL (DNV-GL) with deemed authority being granted by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) using a yearly survey process relying on National Integrated Accreditation for Healthcare Organizations (NIAHO®) standards. Living up to these standards help fuel the desire to continually improve the quality and safety of the healthcare services provided throughout the organization. Our desire for improving quality has also placed an increased emphasis on the customer experience. This increased focus on quality has bestowed upon us the Healthgrades Patient Safety Excellence Award in 2017.
