Springs Memorial Hospital

With more than 120 medical professionals and 225 private beds, Springs Memorial Hospital is dedicated to providing quality patient care in a compassionate, patient-focused and family friendly atmosphere.

The hospital offers a wide range of services, including cardiopulmonary rehab, diagnostic imaging, geriatric behavioral health, surgical services, emergency services and sleep medicine, to name a few. Springs Memorial Hospital also offers rehabilitation for those who are recovering from a stroke, joint replacements, hip fractures and more via Regional Rehabilitation at Springs Memorial Hospital.

Within the last year, the Lancaster Clinic Corporation, which is a hospital affiliate, opened two new medical practices in the hospital’s campus. Springs Women’s Health, an obstetrics and gynecological (OB/GYN) practice, is staffed with Dr. Lisa Semple and Dr. Maritza Manrique-Kiniry. Also, Springs Gastroenterology opened and Dr. Justin Horwitz provides gastroenterology care at this location. On the fourth floor of the hospital, is the Women’s Center. Labor and delivery, the newborn nursery and post partum care is provided.

The Springs Memorial Wound Care & Hyperbaric Center has received numerous distinctions over the years, most recently, the Southeast Zone Wound Care Center of the Year by Healogics, Inc., as well as Center of Excellence and Center of Distinction for 2016.

Springs Memorial Hospital is also accredited by the Joint Commission and has been named a Top Performer on Key Quality Measures five years in a row for heart failure, surgical care and more.

The hospital’s CEO, Janice Dabney, who has been a part of Springs for 51 years, retired in August. A search will be held to find a new CEO.

Carolinas HealthCare System Waxhaw

Carolinas HealthCare System Waxhaw Emergency Department, a facility of Carolinas HealthCare System Union, provides 24-hour emergency medical services to the Waxhaw area. From broken bones and severe cuts to heart attacks and strokes, the department is prepared to provide patients of all ages with the highest level of emergency care.

Expert staff includes physicians who are board-certified in emergency medicine. Plus, the Waxhaw location is backed by Carolinas Medical Center, the region’s only Level I Trauma Center.

Carolinas HealthCare System Waxhaw is home to several physician groups, including specialists in internal medicine, women’s health and pediatrics. These physician practices are not only conveniently located, but they are connected to the region’s top specialists throughout the Carolinas HealthCare System as well. Each practice has access to on-site diagnostic services, including laboratory services and advanced diagnostic mapping, should physicians order lab work or tests.

The Waxhaw location also offers other services to help meet patients’ needs, such as its community room, and meeting space availability for residents free of charge.

Rebound Behavioral Health

Located on 50 peaceful acres of woods, walking paths and ponds, Rebound Behavioral Health helps adults who struggle with substance abuse and psychiatric ailments. Treatment is offered at Rebound for those battling addictions to alcohol and prescription drugs, to name a couple, as well as mental and behavioral health conditions like depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder and more.

Rebound offers a holistic approach that heals the mind, body and spirit through both inpatient and outpatient treatment options. A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is also available for those who are transitioning from inpatient care or who need a more intensive level of care than traditional outpatient treatment.
