The Village of Mount Pleasant launched its first annual Mount Pleasant Day in 2015. The family-oriented event invites residents and local businesses to come together and celebrate the community. The event is held annually in September at the Mount Pleasant Campus Park. Attendees can browse the park grounds while visiting nearly 60 local vendors from around the village.
Local vendors offer free samples, discount coupons, activities for kids and plenty of information for patrons. Be sure to take some time and explore the vehicles of the village’s first responders. Fire trucks, ambulances, police cars and snow plow trucks are on display.
Several kid-friendly activities are always available and recently included a rock climbing wall, maze and dunk tank. Adults can enjoy local craft beers in the pop-up beer garden while watching live music from bands performing a variety of music.
With over 1,500 attendants at the 2018 event, the village in conjunction with residents, raised over 250 pounds of food, which was donated to the local food bank.
